Message from the board.

Dear koi enthusiast,

With enormous regret we must inform you that after careful consideration we had no choice but to cancel our Koishow due to the Covid-19 virus.
Most likely, the ban on organizing events will still be in effect on that date.

Judges are currently unable to travel because there is a ban on coming to Europe around the world. More and more borders are closing within Europe. Nobody knows how long this will last.
Participants need to know in time whether to prepare their Koi for the show.
Sponsors must also make practical arrangements.

We have booked the hall, tents, materials and hotels.
Many things that we can not wait too long to cancel.
That is why the board of the Belgian Koi Society vzw has decided tonight to cancel the Belgian ZNA Koi Show 2020 and move it to 2021. Then we are definitely back. The hall in Merelbeke has already been booked!
See you next year!

On behalf of the entire board,
Yours sincerely,

The ZNA Belgian Koi Show

The ZNA Belgian Koi Show, garden and pond days at May 9 and 10 2020 is an initiative of Belgian Koi Society vzw, an organization from and for Koi and pond lovers.

The most beautiful koi in Europe

The most beautiful Koi in Europe will be shown at this fair and will return home with different prizes . The winners are determined by an international jury , after an assessment of their beauty in all aspects such as skin quality, physique and color patterns. The Belgian Koi Show has also been known for years for the enormous high quality of the exhibited Koi. The most beautiful examples of Belgium, the Netherlands and France can be seen at the show.

Koi Competition with international Jury

This fair takes place in the Municipal Halls of Merelbeke where the most beautiful Koi are shown and go home with different prices, even Koi that cannot be seen anywhere else, except on this show ! The winners are determined by an international jury , after an assessment of their beauty in all aspects such as skin quality, physique and color patterns .

The Belgian Koi Show has also been known for years for the extremely high quality of the exhibited Koi. The most beautiful examples of Belgium, the Netherlands and France can be seen at the show.

In addition to the competitive element, the Koi show is also about bringing together the Kooi enthusiast and hobbyists of all kinds of allooi. It is a place to meet each other in common interests, and a place to gain a lot of knowledge and information about the pond and garden events. This is due to the presence of exhibitors who bring a lot of knowledge, expertise and material, ready to release to the general public, ranging from filter material, test kits, Koi food, etc. Bring the possibility to buy bonsai, plants and art for the garden, and everything is available to create a perfectly rotating pond, which also looks very beautiful too!

We hope to see you at the next Belgian Koi Show, on May 9 and 10 2020. See you then!

I have been visiting the Belgian Koishow (s) every year since 1998 and I must say, especially in the last ten years there has been a significant increase in the quality of the fish in the competition. The range of sales stands is also very varied. In short, the Belgium Koi Society Koi Show is more than worth a visit!

Top show, pleasant atmosphere with top competition kois !!! A must for every koi enthusiast in Belgium!

Chris van Cleemput (B)Visitor

A nice experience to help with the construction and also the show itself, where you get to know a whole lot of new and fun people with whom you can share your koi and pond experiences. Since you have never learned about koi! You will also see beautiful fish swimming in the barrels that are certainly worth a closer look! Certainly the fish that you would otherwise hardly see or not see are definitely worth it! I am also happy to help with this show!

I’ve been the first time at Belgian Koi Show about 3 years ago.
I knew that koi hobby was popular in the middle of Europe but I didn’t know how to expect, in particular from a little country like Belgium.
When I arrived to Hasselt and I saw the location, my expression has been like…WOW! The green park and the japanese garden in the vicinity are a perfect context for a koi show, and also the stands and vats arrangment are really well located. The level of koi for the contest is the highest that I’ve seen in Europe and as well the organization of the event. Good food, drink and friendship make the rest.
If I have to decide one koi show to visit in Europe, I have no doubts…BELGIAN KOI SHOW!
